Materials: Fine clay from the Banas River; Resin from the Dhonk Tree and local stone powder used in slurry; Cow dung cakes used as fuel for firing.
Process: Items are shaped with simple tools made from discarded objects; Textured with intricate patterns, burnished, and dried; Dipped in slurry, polished, and fired in a sealed kiln to create a smoky atmosphere; Firing gives the pottery a unique blackish-grey finish.
Design Inspiration: Motifs inspired by the Trinetra Ganesh Temple and local flora & fauna, especially tigers.
Usage: Functional and decorative ware.
